SalesEQ analyzes the nonverbal side of a sales call - tone, hesitation, confidence, facial expressions, and body language - by recording video (via Recall.ai’s desktop SDK) and analyzing it in the cloud, wired into your CRM. Raven takes the opposite, deliberate approach: voice-only, on your machine, no camera, open source and free - and it helps you live during the call rather than scoring it after.

The real difference: voice-only and local, by design

The real difference: voice-only and local, by design

SalesEQ’s pitch is reading the buyer’s face and body language on video. Raven deliberately doesn’t do that. Recording and scoring the other person’s facial expressions is privacy-invasive, consent-heavy, and scientifically contested - so Raven focuses on what was said and how it sounded, split into You/Them streams, analyzed on your machine. You get talk ratio and grounded sentiment without pointing a model at your buyer’s face.

And where SalesEQ uploads audio and video to its cloud, Raven keeps transcripts and notes in local SQLite; only audio goes to the transcription/AI providers you chose with your own keys.

What SalesEQ does better (honestly)

What Sembly does better (honestly)

  • Nonverbal / video intelligence - if you believe facial and body-language signals help you sell, SalesEQ is purpose-built for exactly that, with reliable Recall-powered capture and CRM push.

If video-based buyer analysis is your thing, Raven is not that tool and isn’t trying to be.

When Raven wins

When Raven wins

  • You’d rather analyze voice + words, not put a model on your buyer’s face.

  • You want capture and storage kept local, and a tool you can audit (open source).

  • You want live help during the call, and it to be free - no cloud, no CRM contract.
